Getting heard in counselling, psychotherapy and coaching
I encourage you to feel empowered to express yourself freely and openly. This is a safe space where you can be heard without judgment. I understand that certain topics may initially feel difficult to discuss, and building trust takes time, especially if you've been hurt in the past. Please know that I respect your boundaries, and you can share at your own pace when you feel comfortable. I genuinely enjoy listening and have a passion for my work as a psychotherapist. If you need a place where you can feel truly heard and understood, we are already a good match.
Due to the pandemic, I have been utilising platforms like googlemeet and Microsoft teams for counseling and psychotherapy sessions, and it has proven to be effective and convenient. Regardless of our physical location, you will receive the same level of support and dedicated time. We can continue our work together, ensuring you have the personal space and time you need.
You are important to me. In our sessions, I prioritize your well-being and experiences above everything else. While my training is essential in understanding, your feelings and needs take precedence. Together, we will navigate your journey towards wholeness, with me providing support along the way.
Counseling and psychotherapy offer a unique opportunity to have your voice heard and gain clarity. Life's changes, stresses, and challenges can often leave you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or depressed. During our sessions, we can explore these difficulties and work towards finding clearer perspectives.
It can be challenging to find people you can trust to discuss your deepest concerns. I understand the struggle and the desire for a space where you can be genuinely heard. As a therapist with years of experience, I have developed the skill of attentive listening. Through reflection, you can hear yourself more clearly and gain further clarity.
Difficulties and struggles can serve as gateways to growth and transformation. I view problems not as roadblocks but as guidelines for personal development. It can be a challenge to open up and talk about difficult things but they can be directions on the path that gives us opportunities for healing. By identifying the needs underlying your behaviors, we can work together to find other ways of meeting those needs. Those behaviours that might be hard to reason, may actually be old traumas surfacing in the hope of finding resolution, so seen from this angle, something you might think isn't healthy, is actually emerging because you have a very healthful, life enhancing
If you have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, or developmental challenges, I am here to support you on your healing journey. Your experiences will be taken seriously, and we will work together to address the impact they have had on your life.
As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw from various therapeutic approaches, including person-centered, humanistic, psychodynamic, and transpersonal. I also incorporate attachment theory, body-focused attention, neuroscience, and nature-assisted psychotherapy to deepen our understanding and tailor the therapy to your unique needs.
I believe in the power of simplicity and finding therapeutic value in everyday life. In addition to our sessions, we can discuss life-enhancing activities such as spending time in nature, engaging in creative pursuits, and nurturing positive relationships. Ultimately, I am here to walk alongside you and support you in your healing process.
